"Staff did everything to make me comfortable"

About: South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I recently had an accident on my bicycle.

My injuries in the end turned out to be minor - concussion, with facial cuts and bruises (requiring stitches) and bruising to the ribs. However, all the ambulance and A&E staff did everything to make me comfortable and took no chances in their treatment of me in case the damage was worse (e. g. broken limbs or skull). Everyone I came into contact with was very professional and made the experience as painless as possible. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL.

Dear Mahler

Thank you for your lovely comments.

I am glad to read that your injuries from your bicycle accident had been minor and it is good to hear that you felt that you had received professional care from the A&E staff at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. It is extremely rewarding for staff to hear of how well the care they have given has been received and I will forward your comments onto senior management for the department.

Thank you for taking the time to write such encouraging feedback.
