My partner was sent to qmc by pain management at city excellent team.
ypon arrival was left in severe pain and put upto. D57. Excellent welcome and care recieved was moved to c31 on sunday afternoon. problems started she is on morphine every 2 hrs by drs to keep on top of pain. I left about 10. Pm sunday evening to come home wife phoned me at midnight saying she dont think she was given right medcation. was back at ward 20mins later yes cock up with tablets was only given half monday dinner was brought to bed at appx 5 pm jacket potato with cheese (not ordered as no one asked looked poor) the went to get something to replace it but carillion porter came tp take us for mri (excellent chap).
nurses were informed f to mri meal will be kept upon return to ward no meal was offered soup or beans on toast. 7. 20pm. eventually 9. 00went and brought meal from shop and gave reciept to sister on ward asked for meeting with highest hospital staff available and arranged to meet with them 10. 30 tuesday morning.
returned next day seen at 11. 00 by ward sisters and was then seen by dr and arranged discharge latter in day asked for relief. asked again at 2, 40 was eventually given it at 9. 20 pm in severe pain a discharged at 10. 00..the patient in bed opposite was being fed by a auxillary nurse when patient was refusing to eat I said to nurse shes nil by mouth. and she kept saying sorry and had informed the nurse when asked senior nurse she knew nothing of it today. no help from staff we saw and it felt a waste of time. not happy.
