"Sandalwood Court care is abysmal"

I've been referred to this place at least five times over the years (regarding my depression) and no matter what happens, they refuse to help or provide any appropriate recommendations towards recovery.

All I ever receive is a letter back to the doctors and nothing further.

In December after being referred once again to Sandalwood Court, I was promised that some one to one counselling would be discussed and arranged, yet after seven or eight weeks, I heard nothing.

For years I've been advised to undertake self help courses, therefore being seen to help myself, however the level of help on two fully completed courses couldn't begin to reach the depths of despair that I find myself.

Annoyed at hearing nothing, I phoned up chasing my case and was told that the doctor wasn't in the office and I'd be phoned the next day.

That phone call didn't happen.

I phoned again and was told that I would again receive a phone call the following day, yet again, it didn''t happen.

10 days later I received a letter stating that I needed to change my medication and seek some counselling.

The staff at Sandalwood court are completely inept, untrained and have alarmingly failed me.

Time and time again.

I'm sick of trying to seek help and receiving nothing in return.

It's people like this that are supposed to help one's situation, not impair it.
