What I liked

My dad was admitted to Warrington General Hospital on Christmas Eve, remaining as a patient on Ward A8 until 6 January 2010. His stay coincided with our terrible winter weather. When we were unable to visit him, hard-pressed staff passed on our messages and even offered him an addtional "overnight stay" because of the difficulty the snow presented. Many of the staff left home, to walk to work in the small hours, with some staying over, to ensure care was provided.

Dad was treated with respect and dignity throughout and was fully involved and informed about decisions relating to his care and treatment.

The standard of hygiene was good aand he was happy with the meals provided - even enjoying a Christmas dinner - thank you.
