"Thank you for my mothers care"

About: University Hospital Wishaw

(as a relative),

My 86 yr old mum was admitted Wishaw General on Tuesday after a short illness. From the moment we arrived the staff were great.

She was then transferred to HDU where the nurse in charge Fiona was amazing, reassuring my mum and both me and my sister. She explained everything about the machines my mum was linked to and what they were doing and allowed both of us to stay with my mum during the night.

Sadly mum passed away the following day, but this was with dignity and compassion due to the help of the nurses.

We will never forget what you did for us at this very sad time. You really deserve the name Angels. Thank you so much.

Dear Wee jessie

Thank you very much for getting in touch and for your comments in relation to the care your mother received whilst an inpatient here at Wishaw General Hospital within our High Dependency Unit. Please accept my sincere sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your mother.

Your very positive comments are very welcome and I will ensure they are fed back to the staff in the Unit, who work so hard in ensuring the care we deliver to patients is of a high standard, as well as being compassionate to the families of our patients. I have no doubt they will be delighted for the feedback.

Thank you once again and best wishes to you and your family

Regards

Faith
