My mother had an accident at home and broke her hip. The ambulance staff were first to attend and were fantastic and took great care to make my mother comfortable before moving her to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
We arrived at A&E and were taken straght to a cubicle. Nurses and doctors arrived and carried out a number of tests and scans, including a CT scan. Everything was done in a VERY caring manner. Shortly afterwards, we were taken to ward 412 and the staff were waiting for our arrival. I should add that my mother is 90 and blind so needed additional care, which was given. The following morning the doctors operated and replaced moms hip. You ould not get better care. The staff are the best, you coud not wish for any better service, this hospital makes private care look shabby. EVERY member of staff showed kindness and care way above what could be exopected. The follow up care in the hospital and afterwards was again first rate, the food was of a very high standard and there was always a good choice, it would put a hotel to shame. This is what theNHS is all about, forget the horror stories, the QE is magnificent. We cannot thank the hopital staff too much, they are so special,
"Care of my mum was excellent"
