"Exceptional care"

About: East Surrey Hospital / General surgery South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

(as a relative),

My grandmother was bought in by ambulance for the second time in 4 months, she had had a fall, upon arriving in a and e, she was triaged within 10 minutes and a cubicle within 20 mins, the staff were very attentive and were very careful with her as she was in so much pain. After performing some tests they decided that she was more unwell than previously thought and taken straight into resus for a possible heart attack. My point is that despite the doctors strike, no aspect of her care was overlooked, everything was checked, quickly and professionally, we saw 3 doctors and once she was stable I felt happy to leave her in their care as it was midnight. Big praise to all involved in helping her, thank you

Dear relieved granddaughter,

It is always a worrying time when a loved one is brought to hospital by ambulance. It is good to hear that you felt your grandmother was treated in a timely, thorough and sensitive way, giving you assurance that she was in safe hands. Thank you for posting feedback on your experience.

With best wishes,

Cathy White

Dear relieved granddaughter

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback following our attendance to your grandmother and her subsequent admission to hospital.

It was so lovely to read that the care she received at hospital was of such a high standard, and I hope the service provided by South East Coast Ambulance Service was good too.

I do hope your grandmother is now recovering well, and please do pass on our very best wishes to her for a speedy recovery.

Kind regards, Louise Hutchinson
