"Shortness of respect and dignity on ward."

About: Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital

Having just been an in patient I can honestly say this is the worst hospital stay I have ever had. Firstly lets touch on the cleanliness of the floor. A ziz zaz wipe of the floor missing more than cleaning is not acceptable. Neither is having to use smelly toilets acceptable because nurses do not check they are clean after taking another patient into them.

A few days stay and I end up with bed sores, not acceptable.

My age number may be a little high but I do not appreciate being treated like a person who cannot speak out for myself, treated with little respect and no dignity. It is my body that is crushed not my brain.

I could go on but I am quite upset to think that the people who are supposed to be helping patients can have such attitude, we are patients, we are in pain, we need reassurance and help. We are not cattle where you wheel them in and out.

Hello Trix, thank you for sharing your feedback, which has been shared with the relevant managers. I'm sorry to hear your experience fell short of the standards we would all expect, if you'd like this to be looked into further please can you contact our patient advice and liaison team on (01472) 875403 or nlg-tr.pals@nhs.net

Kind regards,

Sarah Mainprize
