"Diabolical 111 Service"

Yesterday having discharged herself from Windmill House Chertsey, on Friday, my partner's daughter contacted the above suffering severe withdrawal symptoms. To avoid a possible meltdown, in front of her 2 teenage boys, she called 111 so that she wouldn't bother the emergency 999 service. She was advised to go to the Royal Surrey County Hospital Haste Wing for an appointment at 7.36 p.m. Having braved dire travelling conditions she was eventually seen by a doctor at 8.15 p.m. After less than 2 minutes the doctor told her that they couldn't help her & that she shouldn't have been sent there at all & would need to see her GP the next day. This added to the general feeling of distress leaving her without the necessary medication to get through the night & having to do it all again locally this morning. Clearly the 111 operator gave her the wrong advice which has left us all wondering why staff are giving out the wrong information. Please explain what on earth is going on to minimise the possibility of future outpatients suffering from the same miserable service & forward my feedback to the responsible location if it's not you ?
