I came to walsgrave back in 2012 to have my 1st born. I had been in labour from 7 in the morning and decided to come in at 12 in the afternoon only to be waiting in the waiting room for 40 mins as no one was on the desk. I rang the bell 4 times and still nothing until one midwife seen me rolled in a ball on the floor lucky enough I went threw to the labour ward and was 8cm dilated. The care from the midwifes from then on was great I couldn't of asked for better help with my 1st as being a little worried. Only thing that is not nice is waiting in the waiting room with other pregnant lady's and there partners as I screamed in pain.
I am back now with my second child currently 31 weeks pregnant and I've had to see the consultant. I was involved in a traffic collision in 2010 that caused me to break my back damaging three vertibrates my 1st birth was incredibly hard with the back pain and it is ten times worse this time around. The consultant I seen told me I wasn't aloud an epidural with my 1st but I am now aloud one with my second ? It makes no sense I've asked for a c section to help me threw out the pain of my back in the long run but been ignored. I feel as if no one is considering my feelings or opinion and my opinion should be taken into consideration after all I know my body and I am the one who is delevering my baby. Seeing a second consultant next week to hopefully give me the advice I need but other than that the midwifes have been great with me in the past and I look forwards to them again.
Thanks.
