I recently visited the hospital on four occasions to undergo tests, the nature of these tests was quite stressful and one was physically quite unpleasant.
I don't think I could have had a better experience, on each occasion the staff were so reassuring and skilled that I my anxiety and discomfort minimised, at every point the staff explained the procedures and answered all my questions with patience and clarity. I was particularly grateful to the staff who saw me anyway when I accidentally turned up a day early for one test, to spare me a long repeat journey by public transport, definitely going the extra mile I would say.( This was in Xray central were I underwent a heart stress test.0
The volunteers who directed me on my first visit were also very friendly and helpful.
I have only one slight criticism, that on one occasion the toilets in the main entrance area were not very tidy, damp loo rl and water all over the floor, this is a shame as this area has been refurbished to a very good standard. To be fair this is clearly a very busy area and on another visit I did observe one of the cleaning staff doing a pretty thorough job. I would suggest the area is attended more frequently as the checklist on the wall seemed to indicate it only received three visits a day not really sufficient. There was also a hand dryer out of order for at least three days which is really too long.
"Excellent Care"
