My experience at the hospital was absolutely superb, it was world class.
Going in to any hospital is not pleasant but the care and treatment I received before, during and after the operation was first class.
A few days after the operation I had to return to the hospital to have my dressing removed, the receptionist was not there as she must have needed to leave her desk for whatever reason. However, there was a maintenance man in orange overalls who asked if he could help, took my details and asked me to take a seat and said he would let the receptionist know when she came back. All the staff at the hospital work as a team to look after you, they all make sure you are looked after. I cannot speak highly enough of the hospital.
By contrast I had to go to Huddersfield Hospital for an x-ray, this was a totally different experience. No one seemed to want to know, the same level of friendliness was not there.
