"The state off Whipps Cross public toilets"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

(as a service user),

I visited Whipps Cross Hospital today and was horrified by the state of their public toilets. The smell of stale urine was horrible, they were dirty and dingy. I went to two in the hope that the second actually had toilet paper and was cleaner but found it in a similar state. There really is no excuse for toilets to smell and look this way all it would take would be a damn good clean and the use of bleach. I have been a nurse (not in this hospital) for early 30 years and am disappointed that standard has dropped so significantly.

Whipps Cross take the cleaning of our environment seriously, and it was extremely disappointing to receive your comments, which I have addressed with our service provider.

Over the coming months we plan to improve and re furbish all public toilets at Whipps Cross, this will be carried out sensitively and in a phased approach, once again apologise for the condition that you found our toilets in during your recent visit.
