I am writing this as a family member of a person with a learning disability, to thank Mo (learning disability nurse- primary care) for all she did for my relative. My relative has several health issues for which she needs monitoring by healthcare professionals. One aspect of that monitoring is having regular blood tests. She is very frightened about having these taken and becomes distressed and refuses to have them taken. Mo was asked to work with her, she spent time with her, got to know her and built up a trusting relationship, She talked her through the tests and arranged for a phlebotomist to visit her at home. With Mo and familiar support staff around her the phlebotomist was able to successfully take the tests and she was relaxed and not distressed. The family greatly appreciate all Mo has done for her, she is an amazing, dedicated nurse who does a wonderful job
"Amazing dedicated nurse"
