"Avoid adult A&E in Leicester"

Highly understaffed the A&E department was a disastrous experience on Friday evening when I had to take my son there for a back injury. The waiting time was about 5 hours. Highly understaffed with a single doctor and no consultant on site. There seems to be no order on who goes in. Nurses were rather dismissive. Some serious improvement is needed urgently although the staff don't seem to be aware of the low standards. No wonder this A&E is famous for its bad reputation!
