"Blood test"

My 6 year old grandaughter had to have a blood test she has had a lot in the past and can get quite distressed the staff and my daughter always work together to get it over and done with as Quickley as possible to cause the least distress to my grandaughter. On this I occasion a non clinical member of staff delayed the nurse at the point my grandaughter was on her mothers lap in the chair awaiting the needle whilst a clerical matter was resolved in reception

This caused my grandaughter upset, distress has impacted her greatly she is still recovery from the experience and will no doubt have a negative effect on her next blood tests

How can a hospital treat a six year old in this barbaric way ? I am still in shock leaving her in the chair awaiting the procedure with the knowledge of her iniment blood test

This hospital does not have patient welfare as it first or even second priority
