"Use of the MIU for injuries in children"

My husband and I have taken both our boys to this MIU for different injuries over the past two weeks. One was a nasty mountain bike injury and knee laceration which was stitched, the the other was a rugby injury to a wrist which was Xrayed.

The service we have received has been second to none, the staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and the boys were both treated in a timely manner.

I have been telling friends about this service for years, and still many people in North Somerset are unaware of its facilities and opening hours.

I wonder whether further advertising would be helpful?

Thank you for your kind message that you posted and I am sorry that it has taken so long to reply.

We are very glad that you consider the service you received as 'second to none'. We are very proud of the knowledge and skills of our Emergency Nurse Practitioners and their professional and courteous attitude. We are seeing around 12,000 patients a year now which has grown considerably over the last few years and we are happy for the increase to continue. We have invested in quite a large marketing campaign over the last 18 months but probably the most effective method of getting our message out there is by word of mouth from satisfied people such as yourself so please continue to sing it from the roof tops as you have been doing!

Thank you again and your message will be shared with all the staff.

Kind regards

Clevedon Minor Injury Unit
