"emergency ceasarian"

About: City Hospital (Birmingham)

After a frantic dash to the maternity dept on the evening of the 21/9/15 . my grandson was delivered almost immediately by emergency section. He was resuscitated by the emergency staff and immediately transferred to the university hospital in stoke.

I cannot express how grateful I am to the staff that delivered him and didn't give up on him. he is now home and doing well.

The only criticism would be of the one maternity administrator who copped an attitude with my daughter when she first arrived at the maternity unit.

A shame that such an amazing dept should be let down by one person.

Thank you for posting your comments and congratulations on the birth of your grandson. I am pleased that our staff were able to deliver him safely under emergency circumstances. I am sorry that the attitude of one member of staff was not satisfactory. Your feedback is much appreciated and will be used to help us improve our services going forwards. I wish you, your daughter and your grandson well, Tony Waite, Finance Director.
