"Thank you"

About: The Royal London Hospital

The emergency surgical ward 3D were excellent. They took care of my son promptly, politely and with dignity and respect. He even liked the food!!

Thank you all very much.. nurses, doctors and surgeons. The on call surgeon/doctor was fabulous. As were the A&E team.

One moan - pressure sores on a 21 year old after 3 days was a little worrying especially as he was conscious and moving as was the ticks on his chart that said they had checked his feet and turned him.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback about our A&E Service. It is great to hear that your son was cared for with dignity and respect, and that he also liked our food!

We are very sorry to hear that your son acquired pressure sores during his care with us and we apologise for this. You will be pleased to hear that as part of our improvement plan we are launching a programme across all our wards to focus on reducing pressure ulcers with the aim of reaching a landmark of 100 days free from hospital acquired pressure ulcers. So we are taking action to prevent pressure ulcers happening during our care.

We have passed your comments and thanks over to be shared with the A&E team.

Best wishes Barts Health NHS

Trust
