"Ultra-sound scan - fab radioogist!"

I attended Chorley hospital for an ultra-sound scan on Friday 31st July.

I arrived early and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who explained that the clinic hadn't started yet but kept me informed as to how long I would be waiting. Very clean, calm and relaxing hospital. The diagnostic radiologist and assistant arrived and called me in bang on my appointment time. I was feeling very nervous as I didn't know what to expect and I was worried about what would be found. The radiologist was so kind and made me feel so at ease. They told me what they were doing and had a very thorough look at my womb etc during the scan. They asked me about the symptoms I had had and if I was feeling any pain during the scan. I really felt like they were doing a thorough job and not just rushing and would miss something as you sometimes feel rushed when seeing a Dr. They told me what they thought they had found and informed me of what it was and what would happen next. I left feeling reassured and I really hope that my follow up appointments in gynaecology soon provide this excellent service. I can't remember the radiologist's name but I would really like to thank them and praise them for their work.
