This is the first time I had this procedure and it will be the last I am so traumatised by the whole event I cannot get it out of my mind. The Sisters that were taking care of me were faultless and very kind the Doctor however taped me on the head and said who he was so if I saw him the street I would never recognise him. He then gave me the so called sedative and painkiller that as far as I am concerned neither worked, and proceeded straight after with the procedure. To start it was not too bad but as he pumped more and more air in the pain was unbearable I was screaming out with the pain but he just kept going the sister was holding my hand and trying to calm me. My pain level is very high and I can tolerate most things but this was the worst experience I have ever had. I was sent home and suffered severe pain all day and night it hurt to walk to take a deep breath and even to sit down. I phoned the hospital this morning and now have an appointment with my GP I feel that this Doctor was on a time limit and had no bedside manner or thought for his patient what so ever. 4 years ago I had open heart surgery to replace a heart valve and that was better than this.
