My 80 year old father was admitted to ward 8A in January suffering from a severe infection which was life threatening. The treatment and high quality care he received from his consultant and nursing staff essentially saved his life.
I can't praise the staff who looked after him during his 3 week stay highly enough. My mother and I stayed overnight on one occasion and were made to feel welcome and comfortable and were continually given updates on my dad's condition. However. harder to put into words was the genuine concern, care, encouragement and support given to my dad during his time there.
I can say without doubt that my dad's progress, after the critical period was over, was due to the joint efforts of all staff members, including auxiliaries and other support staff. Many, many thanks.
