About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

We have visited this department over a few years now, and the service and care we receive is always excellent. Our visit yesterday was no exception - we have always been seen on time, my daughter is always made to feel comfortable and part of the appointment. The consultant we see is always very child friendly, they listen brilliantly and explains the care plan they recommend but also includes us as parents in the decision making with regards to treatment.

The consultant is brilliant, very personable, caring and thorough.

The department provides excellent support and training on how to manage the allergies and administer the treatment - again involving our young daughter, which makes her feel involved and valued.

I can speak highly enough about the staff and service - Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review of the care your daughter has received from our Paediatric Department.

We are extremely proud of the fantastic services provided by the staff in the Paediatric Department and this was also confirmed by the Care Quality Commission who rated the services as 'Outstanding' in their inspection in January 2015.

We will ensure your feedback is shared with the whole team who will be delighted to know their efforts have been appreciated by both you and your daughter.
