"Breast cancer care"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

In March 2015 I was diagnosed with breast cancer after a referral from my doctor. I was given a mammogram immediately followed by ultrasound & biopsy then given the results immediately.

Under the care of the Dr and the breast care team I underwent a mastectomy in April 2015 followed by gruelling chemotherapy treatment at the Galton day unit.

I have always been treated with the utmost respect from all nhs staff I have dealt with during my treatment, they have been compassionate, understanding and always had time to care.

In January 2016 I had to have a second operation for breast reconstruction under the Dr and teams care, I have been overwhelmed by the treatment I've received and can't thank them enough.

I will always be grateful to the staff of Medway Hospital for making my fight against cancer easier for myself and my family.
