"Horrible care"

Took my boyfriend to Brants Bridge as he had suffered a sporting accident which resulted in a broken collar bone, one of the most painful bones you can break. When checking in the receptionist payed not attention to what was wrong or how much pain he was in, even answering the phone in the middle of talking to us. We then went and sat down and waited for around an hour, with people who did not seem in a lot of pain being seen before him which was odd seeing as it is triage. He was told he had to see the nurse before recovering pain relief. We then went to see a doctor who sent us to X-ray and once that was done we waited another half an hour twenty minutes to be seen again. Here we saw another nurse who was extremely abrupt and was more interested in their radio which was extremely loud. They looked at the X-ray and claimed it was a minor fracture and said that the fracture clinic probably wouldn't even bother seeing him. We had to ask if it was a fracture and we also did not receive and aftercare details or instructions on how to treat or care for the injury. They then proceeded to put a foam sling on him which they did not do gently causing him even more pain and told us we could go now.

A day later we went back to Royal Berks accident and emergency as the pain had not subsided. Here the nurse was appalled at the sling he had been given as he needed an imobolizer in order to give the collar bone sufficient support and aid healing. The sling he had previously been giving was in fact making the injury more painful and worse. Absolutely appalled at the service we where given and would advise anyone to avoid the clinic is possible. Will not be going back!
