Having never had an operation before I was nervous about my stay in hospital - but what a pleasant stay I had! During xmas week I had a large ovarian cyst removed, which was straight forward and very bearable thanks to the good treatment I received.
The staff were polite, considerate & friendly. The ward was clean & bright. The general atmosphere was happy & personal, which helped me to remain positive. And I felt well informed and included in my health care.
When my district nurse wasnt able to visit me to remove my stitches,
I was very happy to return to the ward for them to be removed.
Again I was treated with kindness.
One area of improvement I could suggest - quicker delivery of pain relief. When I requested pain relief each time I waited 20mins before I received it, both during the day & night. This was due to the staff being very busy.
Many thanks to St Marys
