"Visit to A&E"

I visited A&E on Sunday 31 Jan 2016 with my husband, who had injured himself after a fall at home. We came in by ambulance, having been cared for extremely well by the ambulance crew. We had to wait in a very busy waiting room, but I could see that the department was busy and there were more serious cases than ours to be dealt with. But when my husband's pain started to increase he was attended to immediately. The help and treatment he received from everyone in the department was excellent. He was listened to carefully and thoroughly checked over, tested and medicated and eventually was allowed home. I would like to thank all the staff, reception, nurses, doctors and radiologists for their care. I am sorry that this facility is closing as it will be a great loss to the surrounding community.
