"If your'e old and need a hosital - don't bother..."

An elderly relative of mine was admitted to Queens hospital on 22nd Jan 2016 having previously been at the hospital on the night of the 21/22nd but sent home with anti-biotics.

This post is dated 31st Jan and as yet no diagnosis has been forthcoming ( 10 days and counting ) for several reasons

1.

There seems to be a shortage of doctors for the weekend ( and this is the second weekend we have experienced )

2.

Technicians don't appear to be on duty at the weekend either.

The truth is hard to prize out of staff

It's taken my family a week to get a scan carried out ! A&E take priority - that I understand - but a week ?

Unless my family were there to feed my relative - that person would starve - and the wards are so warm that fluids are vital - but as I state - unless we are there our relative would dehydrate as well - other people aren't so lucky.

Food is left at the end of the bed or out of reach - a problem if we were not there.

As stated above there has been no diagnosis - there has also been no treatment ( apart from a saline drip ) in this time as well. As the title suggests - if you are elderly - steer clear of Queens - you won't get much treatment if any !!
