"Surviving septicaemia"

I was unfortunate enough to have sepsis following an urological procedure at another hospital. This progressed if you would call it that, into septicaemia/septic shock. I was taken to Lincoln county by ambulance, and diagnosed in a&e. From there I was taken to something called SEAU where I continued to deteriorate. Eventually I spent almost a week on the ICU and a three days after that on a ward. Although my memory of most of what happened was down to my wife, I remember certain things. I am utterly convinced that the staff that dealt with me at Lincoln County, saved my life. Especially the doctors and nurses on the ICU, who definitely put in that extra mile, and more. I realise that I was lucky to survive this thing, but ultimately I believe it was down to the professionalism and care that I received at Lincoln County Hospital. My wife and I can never thank them enough.
