I attended A&E on Wednesday 27th January after a visit to my GP who insisted I went to KGH. My experience was that the staff are extremely caring and are put under extreme pressure.
I was seen by a doctor who suggested in need to be admitted and have a scan. I was left in the corridor after said scan for an hour and half waiting to be admitted and given a bed. The nursing staff were pushed to the limits which could have been very dangerous and the hospital physically had no beds. The care I received was excellent and the Staff nurse was extremely alert and trying her best to motivate a very hard working tired team. Some nurses were missing breaks being in a private room and checked on regular by said staff nurse I got to see the other side if you like. I am appalled that no support or help is given to hard working NHS staff.
