"Maxillofacial Surgery"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

I went into daycare surgery 29/1/2016. I had surgery and from entering the building I was really looked after, I am wheelchair bound, and the nurses done everything in there power to accommodate me. I would advise anyone take something to read or a puzzle. The anethatist was brilliant also the surgeon came and told me what they were going to do before they put to sleep, they had the most lovely nature and makes you feel so relaxed. The recovery nurse was absolutely brilliant. They really put me at ease as I was coming around. And also thanks to the staff on c33 for the short amount of time I was there, only coment about the ward is them nurses need more help. I would say more senior staff that can make decisions as it seemed there was only 2 and they were absolutely rushed off there feet, do the nurses ever get a break. But overall everything was great
