"Accident and emergency"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

Monday 18/1 I was seen in a and e by 2 different doctors a surgeon and nurses, all were extremely knowledgable, respectful and helpful, after being to the rvi the previous day being discharged with painkiller and they had no idea what was wrong with me I was extremely impressed that a and e and Durham did not stop until they diagnosed me, I had chest pains, sinus tachycardia, temperature pains all over my body viniting from the pains and later through day delirious, they put it down to either pneumonia or a blood clot so they treated both until I could get a ct the next day which was extremely reassuring to know that either diagnosis I was a step forward to getting better. As it turned out a Consultant in ramac diagnosed me with pneumonia and possibly pleurisy and treated me from there. The a and e staff are so busy yet none of them were rude or neglectful in anyway and they kept me informed every step of the way, I think the staff that were on in a and e from 7am Monday to 7,30pm were all amazing very caring and good at their job they all deserve a medal for how hard they work and what they put up with I think I've been lucky to get such a great team on Monday and I'm very thankful to them, also I've met this Consultant twice now and they are amazing at their job every hospital could do with a doctor like them they ouze intelligence and confidence which make you completely put your trust in them they are extremely talented in their profession, thanks for hearing my comments I wish I could have remembered the names of the staff who saw me but I was pretty fatigued and in pain so I was not alert enough to enough read their names
