"Birthing unit and ward 14"

About: King's Mill Hospital

Kings mill are a joke. My Dad went in with severe back pain after they gave him pain killers to take the pain off they left him for 6 hours with only having a scan, then he was sick but to weak to pull himself up, but was more interested in doing the drugs round and left me and my mum and sister to help my Dad, they left his bed that he was sick on and expected him to get back on it. The only best thing ward 14 did was send my Dad to derby hospital.

Utter disgraced the nurses wasn't bothered the doctor when I asked what was happening after waiting 3 hours for his results from a scan saying she'll be 5 minutes and come and talk to us never came!

Also in November

I gave birth to my Daughter at Kings mill and what a mess they left me in, never changed my bed my sister had to insist on changing it as they we're going to leave me in all the blood before I'd given birth etc...... After being told my Daughter would need antibiotics when we got on the ward they never gave them to her, we was home 1 hour and she had a blue episode so we got readmitted not only once but 3 times!!! It says in her notes that she needed to have antibiotics but they say the consultant don't read the notes the midwife puts in then blames it on the trainee. What a joke Kings mill are, I went though hell, I wanted to breast feed my baby for as long as I could and with them adding so much stress on to me I couldn't produce enough milk to feed my baby so now I have to bottle feed, she had 4 weeks of breast milk and through them stressing a new mum out made my milk dry up. They have a lot to answer for but they always know how to get out any responsibility.

Dear Olivia Phillips,

We are very sorry to hear about your experiences at Sherwood Forest Hospitals. Both your experience and that of your father’s does not reflect the high level of care we expect our patients to receive here. We would like to look into the matter to investigate your concerns further.

If you are happy for us to do so, please contact PET@sfh-tr.nhs.uk.

Kind regards,

Sherwood Forest Hospitals.
