"One midwife was helpful."

About: University College Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

One midwife was helpful.

What could be improved

The rest of the staff (midwives and nursing staff) are horrendous. They make you feel like they have done a favour by showing up to work. I had an appointment for a blood test and the nurse who was to do it did not show up for 1 hour because she was late into work. Both of my other appointments were over an hour late. No-one cares at all about patients in this hospital. The midwives make no effort to really understand the pregnant patients and to explain what they should do and what the process is going to be. Absolutely horrible. Please don't let the doctors persuade you that they should refer you to this hospital for its new equipment - it's all useless if the staff are arrogant and incompetent.
