"Very good staff"

I had a very positive experience at Barnsley Hospital despite a couple of hic-coughs which delayed my surgery (one down to the Hospital one not) .

Special thanks to a senior health care assistant in pre-assessment who did everything they could to ensure my operation went ahead as soon as possible after them.

All the staff involved in my care carried out their different roles with professionalism and pride in doing their job well.

The surgeon, the anaethetist I met on the day, theatre staff and the staff on Ward34 where I had an un-planned overnight stay and was looked after very well, all deserve individual mention.. They were all smiling and friendly, willing to listen to, then answer my questions and extremely knowledgeable.

My first appointment with the physio has been equally positive and I have every confidence they are going to help me get back to full fitness.

Also I want to add that the hospital is very clean and I was impressed with the procedures to prevent and reduce infection.
