We have just spent the last few months at the Freeman waiting for and receiving a heart transplant for out little one. Despite our little one being high risk the team were willing to take a chance, other places were not so keen, despite the risk we are home and doing brilliantly. Our little one was very anxious if anyone of the medical profession got close but within a short space of time he learned to trust the staff and allowed them to do their thing, this is simply down to the fact their they are all a fantastic group of people. Every single person we encountered in our time we're professional, courteous and most importantly for our family personable.! I have been asked if the fact it is not a children's hospital was of any downside but I can safely say it made no difference whatsoever, we have spent time in two of britains biggest children's hospitals and neither can compare with the Freeman in terms of learning and development and most important to a 2 year old play! We will be forever grateful to all at the Freeman. Thank you to the Freeman Dream Team!
