"Nuclear Imaging"

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

I arrived a few minutes early and was seen straightaway. I was given a full explanation of how I would feel during the infusion and I was glad I didn't know the details before my appointment otherwise I would have worried about it. The doctor and radiographer put me completely at ease during the most unpleasant part of the procedure when I was given a drug to stress my heart. They chatted to me and gave me updates on the time left, along with reassurance that my ECG and blood pressure were fine. The scan itself was completely stress free and I particularly appreciated the support placed under my legs which relieved pressure on the spine whilst lying down. The staff made the more unpleasant aspects of the appointment bearable.
