"Pallitive Care"

My husband went into Longridge Community Hospital when I struggled to care for him. The idea was to give me a break and then he could come home with a care package in place and have his Christmas of 2015 at home.

Sadly this never happened, he just continued to deteriorate, and had his Christmas at the hospital. The staff worked tirelessly with him, getting him motivated, moving, eating and drinking. Every day there was a member of Staff you could approach and discuss how things had progressed (or not),

They got me involved with all the decision making and told me what drugs would be introduced at each stage and why they were needed.

All the Staff were compassionate, caring, respectful, took the time to laugh with him, sit with him. He was always treated gently and with dignity.

I cannot praise them enough and will be forever grateful for all they have done, they become part of your family

Thank you very much for your feedback on the services received by you and your loved one at Longridge Hospital.

I will pass on your comments to the team and ensure that the staff are made aware of your kind words.
