"Thankfulness and feedback"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

I recently had a small op, and was put into the surgical ward to recover for 1 night.

Before I give feedback on areas for improvements, I would just like to personally thank all the nurses, doctors and surgeons who assisted me - you are all doing an amazing job. The service provided in this ward is of excellence and I am ever so thankful for how well I was looked after throughout the time spent here; I was communicated with well and was made to feel very comfortable.

Just a couple of things to note:

- When I arrived, I let the receptionist know that the toilet soap needed to be replenished, and just before I left it still hadn't been done, so I had to let them know again. Perhaps this could be checked more regularly?

- Communication could be improved between professionals. It didn't bother me too much, but I had to repeat the same information quite a few times to different people - do professionals not share patient information?

Apart from these minor points, all in all, the service was great. I feel very happy in that if I ever need surgery again, I would be content to be on this ward again. Bravo NHS.

Dear Amy

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. I hope you are now recovered and was pleased to read that you were looked after so well. I will feedback your suggestions to the ward manager so that she can discuss them with the staff as patient experience is important in informing service improvements. With kind regards, the PALS team
