"the worst night of my life & nearly the last night of my life!"

About: West Suffolk Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

i was rushed into the a&e dept of west suffolk hospital,by ambulance. i had allready fainted because of the excrutiating pain i was in,i was at first left in the corrider then transfered to a cubicle where i was ignored for 6 hours. i had to practically beg for painrelief.

Finally after 6 hours i was seen by a doctor and rushed into surgery where it was discovered i had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and was bleeding internally.

I had to have a fallopian tube removed and also an ovary. To add insult while i was lying in agony a drunk person arrived in a&e and was told because he had stomach pains he was priority as that might indicate a rupture - so what did my stomach pains mean and why wasnt i a priority also ? i cannot describe the anger i feel - at times like this the nhs is a complete joke.
