I cannot comment on the medical care but it seems to me that the hospital is lacking in some basic areas.
Asked to have a shower/bath on the first morning but there were no towels. Took another 3 hours for towels to arrive. Normally would bring one with me but was an emergency and came in by ambulance. Not very hygenic if patients cannot wash.
No ability to communicate with the outside world. Mobile phones are blocked (why? There is zero evidence of anybody being harmed in a hospital by mobile phones). Nobody answers the landline phone unless it is to put people on hold and then cut them off. My son tried over 20 times to get through. Eventually he did but the message was not passed on. Impossible to arrange to leave the hospital because of this so ended up staying extra night.
"poorly managed?"
