"Wythenshawe Hospital Car Parking fees"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

(as a relative),

I brought my wife to what we thought was a regular Outpatients appointment at 9. 30 am, and we parked in the Outpatients Car Park. We had to wait nearly 2 hours before we were seen, as we were told they were chasing records from another hospital. The Consultant wanted my wife to be seen in another clinic, eventually they decided to admit my wife, which was right and proper. I waited with her while a bed to became available. I left my wife at 4 pm, after a difficult day, only to be faced with a huge fee of £10 from a machine that only accept cash, when I had just £6, on me. Leaving me in search of a cash machine.

I felt like the hospital had mugged me. I thought It is an immoral amount to charge, with the option not to pay by a card the final kick in the teeth.
