"Death with dignity and comfort"

About: North Devon District Hospital / General medicine

(as a relative),

My poor old dad suffered a major stroke in April 2009. He was admitted to the Acute Stroke Unit. The attention and care he received was absolutely brilliant. All the doctors and nursing staff from the sisters down or should I say up to the housekeepers demonstrated true compassion and care. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they took time to cogently explain to me and my mum exactly the problem dad had.

Sadly, as expected , he passed away in May 2009.

We were so moved by the loving affection ALL the staff showed dad, I actually took time out to write a personal thankyou to the NDDH CEO .

This in my opinion is one of the best run and competent hospitals I have ever experienced. Well done!!
