"Received wonderful attention"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General medicine (Wards 5d)

(as the patient),

Admitted mid-January, discharged a week later. Received wonderful attention from consultants to cleaners. Upon admission was in Emergency ward for 2 days and then to Ward 8A. First thing said to me on entering Ward 8A was "Nothing is too much bother so never think that".

Only thing I did mention to staff was that I hadn't realised that there was a Day room until day before I left and as all rooms are single occupancy, perhaps some patients might like to socialise.

Thank you so much for kindly taking the time to post a comment about our ward. It means a great deal to all the staff and I am delighted you had a positive experience in ward 8a. I take your comment on board about the day room and it is something myself and the rest of the staff will try to encourage those well enough to use it.

Thanks again

Collette, Senior charge nurse
