"My stay in Stoke Mandeville over Christmas"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Colorectal surgery

(as the patient),

I was admitted into Stoke Mandeville with a bowel obstruction on . I was operated on on Christmas Day and came out a week after being admitted. I was on Ward 16A.

I saw a Consultant every day, had scans, X-rays etc when I needed them. The ward staff were brilliant, very caring, worked as a team, couldn't fault them.

When you consider that this was over a holiday period I was very impressed.

I'm very grateful for the care I received

I am sorry to read that you required a surgical procedure, particularly on Christmas Day and I hope that you have recovered well.

It is really pleasing to read that the care and treatment you received from the Consultant and ward staff was faultless, working brilliantly together as a team providing your care with compassion.
