"The staff made me feel less stressed"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Urology (Ward 11c)

(as the patient),

I attended the New Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow for the first time today to attend an appointment at the Urology Department. I just want to thank the staff and the nurses who attended to me on my arrival and when I was taken into the procedure room. I wasn't feeling that great and felt very weepy but the nursing staff made me feel at ease.

The nursing staff were also helpful and brought me in a sandwich which was very kind of them to do this.

Thank you again for the care given to me

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.

Dear waterloo

Thanks for taking the time to comment on your recent treatment at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. I am pleased to hear that from the offset of your appointment our staff made you feel at ease, especially before your procedure.

I will pass on your thanks to the staff in our Urology Depart at the QEUH. I hope that you are better following your treatment.

Best wishes

Lorna
