"The staff who ran my husbands MRI Scan"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / General Internal Medicine

(as a carer),

My husband is claustrophobic and being a larger chap confounds the problem when going for a scan.

The staff at the scanning department run a special clinic for the likes of him who have these problems. He was made to feel totally relaxed and reassured. , with the result that the scan could be performed. I have to say I have not seen such professionalism and caring for a long time it was very heartening. Keep up the fantastic job you are doing!

Dear Posie

What a great little story! NHS Grampian prides itself in delivering person-centred care so it is good to hear about how your husband's individual needs were met. We will make sure that the staff concerned hear about what a good job they have done.

I hope the scan results were good news.

Thank you again for your kind words.
