What I liked

I was recently in Barnsley hospital as a patient (discharged on 3rd December 2009).

I was on ward 31 and I can honestly say all the staff who cared for me were excellent. Right from the cleaning staff through to the surgeon himself, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were all pleasent even though the majority of time, they were rushed off their feet.

It was my first time in hospital and I'd heard stories about hospital food not being very good?

Well they obviously haven't been in Barnsley hospital because the food was excellent and I ate everything that was put in front of me.

Thank you once again to all the wonderful nurses and their assistants for looking after me and putting me on the road to recovery after a major operation.

The only dissapointment is that I couldn't thank them all personally as they were obviously on different shifts when I left.

They are special people who are overworked and underpaid and I won't forget them.

Although I'm hoping that I never see hospital again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose Barnsley again.
