About: Heartlands Hospital

After a hard back to back labour and finally delivering at 6.28 am the midwife left straight away and i was left in my own pile of blood until 9.30! I happened to deliver my baby at an inconvenient time for the midwives as it was swap over time and they left me there although my husband was continuously up and down to the reception asking for someone to come back to us and check the baby and me over! Disgusted and appalled at how we were busy left

Thank you very much for your comments regarding your recent experience in the Maternity Unit at Heartlands Hospital. May I firstly congratulate you and your husband on the safe arrival of your baby.


I am sorry to learn that you were unhappy with the immediate after care following the delivery of your baby, and that despite your husband's requests for assistance for you, you were left for a long time before assistance was provided to you.
