I was admitted mid-November in established labour and doing well. My 1st allocated midwife in my opinion, clearly couldn't wait to leave at 8pm, so I concentrated on keeping mobile, hydrated and getting through my contractions. By the time of shift swap, the 2nd midwife Naomi came in she introduced herself and settled to make herself familiar with my notes.
Throughout labour she was in the background guiding my husband and I through discreet prompts and open ended questions. She empowered us to have a relaxed and in control birth completely led by my body and supported by my husband. Simply great and I really appreciate all she did as I rave every day over how good my birth was!
